what residents of Pines III have to say:
.
"We've
been here since Pines III opened, and there's not
a thing we don't like. The staff is wonderful.
They do everything in their power to make us feel
wanted and at home - in fact, this is home."
Ted
& Joyce Thompson
"As a member of the Duluth Teachers
Retirement Fund Board, John personally witnessed their investment
come to life. His Stay at Pines III was fabulous. I just can't say enough. It is definitely the
next best thing to being in your own home--- for some people it's even better."
Sue Mills
Moriarity,
wife of John M. Moriarity
"I'm overjoyed to be here. Before I moved into Pines III, I'd leave for a short vacation and come home
to a lonely house. At Pines III, I come home to many friends. Everyone is so nice. And the staff
makes every effort to please you and make you feel
fomfortable."
Ann E. Borken, resident
"My father, Herb Palmer, has been a resident of Pines since
August 1999 when Pines III first opened its doors. The move was a family
challenge, especially for a 92 year old that was living
comfortably in his own home. The idea of entering an assisted living apartment did not go well with him, which appears
to be a normal experience for independent seniors who have efficiently managed their lives
without any serious challenges. He did however, realize he had a growing need for
monitored care and chose Pines III after serous discussions with family and friends.
The reason for writing you today is to offer my
thanks to the entire staff for their support and ongoing
interest and comfort. Herb is receiving nutritious meals, there is always
plenty to do, with scheduled activities and personal interest in each and every
resident. Herb feels at home at the Pines and very
secure.
The adjacent shopping center provides the opportunity to move around, do some
shopping, visit the Public Library, get exposure to younger citizens and otherwise
feel you are sharing in contemporary life that is, as you know, very healthy and very
positive.
I would recommend Pines III to anyone
interested in sharing life's senior moments with friends and a
very dedicated staff.
Best wishes and good luck. Pines indeed
offers affection and character."
Sincerely,
Richard F. Palmer
