The Mount Royal Pines Independent Apartments was the first Market Rate Senior Living Apartment built in Duluth, and it is the only Eastern Duluth apartment.

It was built in 1989, and has served as the model and the standard for subsequent new apartments. Its traditional brick exterior and Tudor design fits into the established neighborhood. And its elegant décor and spacious community centers are second to none.

In 1989 Mount Royal Pines I was built and followed a year later with Pines II. The two facilities are connected as one. Together there are 82 apartments. 

The Pines Independent Living Apartment complex is a part of a senior campus that also includes an assisted living apartment next door.
