Perhaps the most representative of the Pines one-bedroom apartments is the Vermilion which features a uniquely spacious floor plan with "open" kitchen, dining, and living areas. The large walk-in closet and entry closet provide ample space for clothing and storage. Like all the Pines apartments, the bath contains a shower and tub combination.

The Pinewood, while similar to the Vermilion in size, features several design variations. Pinewoods range from the attractive Pinewood plan featured in the diagram to the Alcove Pinewood, which offers a generous use of space for entertaining.

There are 81 "apartment/homes" at the Pines. And there are 30 distinctly unique apartment styles. One such style is the Granada, which represents a "typical" two-bedroom apartment. The Granadas are all corner apartments, featuring windows on two sides to capture Duluth's refreshing summer breezes.

Another two-bedroom design, the Valhalla, is distinguished by its comfortable yet cozy dinette adjacent to the kitchen. All of the Pines' deluxe kitchens provide large frost-free refrigerators, 30" electric self-cleaning ovens, dishwashers and garbage disposals.

Two of the larger one-bedroom apartments are the Calais and the Hathaway. While these are only one-bedroom apartments, both of these models are over 1,000 square feet and both offer 1 1/2 baths. The Calais contains a spacious walk-in storage closet and a 14 foot-wide living room which provides an array of furniture placement opportunities.

The Calais' counterpart the Hathaway, has all the "feel" and ambience of living in one's own home. The large bedroom features sliding doors opening onto a covered deck. Views from the Pines range from spectacular lake views and "glimpse", to the privacy of the woods and wildlife, to the vibrant activity of a neighborhood shopping center in motion.

While not the largest of the two-bedroom apartments, the Yorkshire has that "big" look, featuring a spacious 14 foot x 25 foot living room and a "wall of windows." The seasonal deck connects you with the outdoor every day. All of the Pines apartments feature grab bars in the baths and showers for resident safety.

Although the Buckingham is the final representation here, there are still 22 other designs from which to choose. The Buckingham, however, is one of the largest and most elegant. The magnificent living room, dining room, and covered patio combine with a stunning lake view to make this apartment/home truly a pleasure to live in. Larger than most area homes, the Buckingham provides a real sense of space in its 1400 plus sq. ft.
