Since Mount Royal Pines Independent Living is an Independent Living Apartment, the Pines does not provide health services.

However, the Pines management is sensitively aware that many of our residents need assistance from time to time. So, therefore, we welcome a wide range of homemakers and health care agencies into our apartment community to assist Pines residents. These individuals and agencies are contracted by our residents and not by the Pines Independent Living.

St. Francis Health Care Services is one of the health-care agencies that is very well respected at the Pines. St. Francis Health Care does provide all of the health-care services at Mount Royal Pines III Assisted Living which is located in the Mount Royal Pines "campus." They are accessible and are usually very close at hand. For further information about these services, contact Kathy Anderson, Housing Manager at Pines III, at 724-5500.

While the fitness center is not a health-care service, it does provide an unusual experience in a senior housing community. Located right in the Pines apartment building is St. Lukes' Physical Therapy and Fitness Center! Whether it is raining, or snowing, or just plain chilly outside, the Pines' residents can enjoy a unique environment to walk on the treadmill, or peddle on the stationary bikes, or enjoy many of the other senior-friendly exercise devices. And it is staffed by knowledgeable St. Lukes' professionals who know and understand seniors. A physical therapist is often available for a wide range of physical therapy services. There is a small monthly fee for unlimited use of equipment during business hours.
